The author has created afascinating story. Manuela Pentangelo, the illustrator, is handmade ice-cream-parlor-precious works of art. On the accompanying audio book CD (sold separately), the book is conducted in English (2 versions), Italian and Spanish (2 versions.) When children hear the different services, they can not help but develop an understanding of the beauty of different languages. Only by listening, they take many words of Italian and Spanish, and you start to an appreciation of the developmentdifferent cultures.

Like Pixar's "Monsters, Inc., children in this book to the fact that a monster, as might be afraid to explore them, but it does so in a very different, almost cerebral way.
